2012 Silver Eagle Dollar in Black Velvet Display Box
Product Description
This is an American Silver Eagle Bullion Coin in a quality dark blue velvet US Mint display box. The display box measures 2.5 x 2.5 inches and has a metal eagle insignia on the top. The top of the display box flips open to reveal the coin inside. The coin fits snugly into the round velvet indentation. But the coin can be taken out of the box for a closer look if desired. The inside of the top lid of the display box features the US Mint Treasury Seal and the words “United States Mint”. The display box comes in a dark blue cardboard sleeve that also has the US Mint Treasury Seal and the words “United States Mint” in silver.
The United States has minted this beautiful American Silver Eagle Bullion coin for collectors each year since 1986. The coin is over 1 1/2 inches (40mm) in diameter and contains one ounce of .999 pure silver. It is legal U.S. tender with a one dollar face value. Of course the value of the silver content far exceeds the one dollar face value so you will never see one of these coins in circulation. The Silver Eagle features Miss Liberty on the front with an Eagle on the reverse. It is considered to be one of the most beautifully designed U.S. coins ever.
