Other Coins

In this section we offer other coins including silver dimes, quarters and half-dollars. The United States has not minted real silver coins for circulation since 1964. Coins after 1964 were minted made of copper and nickel. Silver coins disappeared from circulation shortly after 1964 when the value of the silver in them far exceeded their face value. Check your change and you will notice that you will not find any dimes, quarters or half-dollars dated before 1965.
